GW, a premier publishing services provider, is seeking a detail-oriented page designer with experience in publications and Adobe InDesign to join our team as a Compositor/Graphic Designer.

 

The ideal candidate for this position has a mastery of InDesign skills, an attention to detail, a desire to problem-solve, and wants to make a positive contribution to learning and education. Projects require excellent time management and creative thinking skills.

 

As a Compositor/Graphic Designer your work will involve layout of various types of deliverables for educational purposes, such as medical, scientific, and trade books, magazines, and online works. Daily work could include design and page composition, revisions of illustration, accessibility, digital (ePub) deliverables, and more.

 

WHAT YOU HAVE:

  • Exceptional skills in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, especially InDesign and Illustrator
  • Skill in Microsoft Office applications - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Skills and working knowledge of scripts, Greps, and Perls
  • Skills and working knowledge of HTML and XML
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards, various outputs, and deliverables like ePubAdherence
  • Flexibility to work on multiple projects and multiple types of work
  • Ability and willingness to solve problems
  • Ability to work within deadlines
