JOB SUMMARY 
The successful candidate will be responsible to manage the risks associated with all laws, regulations, and regulatory rules applicable across the lending life cycle and to ensure appropriate and sufficient controls are in place to mitigate those risks. Specific areas of operational focus include: application processing and underwriting, funding, account servicing, and collections.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned as needed.
 

  • Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of the Company’s Compliance Management Program. Ensure that policies, procedures and programs comply with applicable regulatory requirements and mitigate risk of non-compliance.
  • Develop, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis.
  • Serve as a compliance subject matter expert for the Company on lending compliance and related issues.
  • Facilitate the coordination of compliance monitoring and risk assessments, providing periodic compliance reports to senior management. Manage remediation efforts.
  • Manage and maintain enterprise-wide policies, standards, and procedures designed to achieve compliance with applicable laws, riles, and regulations.
  • Maintain internal control standard, including timely support for implementation of internal and external audits, examinations, or investigations.
  • Actively participate in assigned business initiatives (i.e. new product development, revised processes or systems, development and/or oversight of consumer facing notices and disclosures) and projects to ensure that related regulatory obligations are appropriately addressed.
     

 

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field
    • 1-2 years of experience in compliance, legal, audit, risk or other relevant function
    • Strong leadership and relationship management skills including the ability to influence up and across the organization
    • Successful track record of integrity, strong ethics and judgement
