AHEAD is currently seeking a Compliance Specialist to help build out the compliance function and provide counseling to AHEAD’s sales team and stakeholders. You will report to AHEAD’s Corporate Counsel, Compliance. This is a remote role.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with internal stakeholders as well as customers, vendors, and regulators, as necessary;
- Provide guidance to internal stakeholders and make recommendations for improving compliance training materials;
- Manage compliance-related projects for current and evolving laws and obligations;
- Assist in designing, implementing, and managing effective compliance programs;
- Assist with the preparation of compliance reports for senior management and regulatory agencies;
- Assist with data privacy related requests and audits, as necessary; and
- Monitor and assess compliance efforts to identify potential sources of risk and recommend mitigation measures, with appropriate escalations as necessary.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years supporting compliance initiatives related to employment law, export controls, privacy, AI and/or other U.S. regulations.
- Knowledge of U.S. data privacy laws (HIPAA, CCPA, CPRA, TCPA) and experience with GDPR;
- Experience interacting with or working for regulatory agencies;
- Expertise in drafting and reviewing a broad range of policies;
- Expertise in Microsoft tools, including PowerPoint and Excel ;
- Project or program management experience;
- Strong analytical skills and verbal and written communication skills; and
- Excellent business judgment, attention to detail, and self-motivation.
