Role Overview

This is an opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in Law, Business, Compliance and/or Risk Management looking to thrive in a rapidly growing company active in the high growth information services sector. 

Legal, Compliance and Client Protection is the critical compliance function of Dialectica; aiming to ensure that our clients can securely, compliantly and safely access our unique knowledge sources. 

The Compliance Operations department manages a variety of tasks, such as monitoring ongoing projects, client custom compliance requests, training, and risk assessment. As a Compliance team lead, you will ensure that the team is operating effectively, facilitate client requests, propose operational enhancements, deliver training, and ensure that Dialectica’s employees across all offices work on building a safe and compliant environment for our clients. 

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

  • Coordinate the monitoring of active projects to flag and mitigate potential risks.
  • Advise the company and implement appropriate plans for all areas of responsibilities. 
  • Partner with the heads of assigned accounts and corporate functions to define compliance objectives and requirements and provide compliance analysis & advice.
  • Interact with clients, including in-house counsel and compliance officers and lead compliance calls.
  • Identify training needs & organize the development and implementation of training programs for CST and CP team members
  • Escalate compliance related issues to Senior Management; Gather feedback from senior stakeholders and provide input taking into account business needs 
  • Design compliance &/or legal strategies & initiatives, creating the culture and operational model of compliance and legal;
  • Ensure the team is operating efficiently and effectively to meet compliance &/or Legal organizational objectives. Coach, inspire and set the communication chain between management and team. 
  • Drive compliance &/or Legal best practices within the team.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree and Master’s Degree in  Business, Law, Risk Management or other related field
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in related fields such as risk management, law or compliance an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills
  • Proactive, combining attention to detail with a strategic thinking
  • Exceptional organizational and problem solving skills
  • Professional ethics and  integrity with attention to detail
  • Committed to improving internal quality standards
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written (additional language an asset)
  • Proficient use of MS Office and Google suite
