Legionella Responsible Person (L8 Compliance)
LOCATION: London
SHIFT PATTERN: Monday to Friday 0800 - 1700, 40 HOURS PER WEEK

Key Objectives:
Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation and guidance related to Legionella control, including:
- Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
- COSHH Regulations 2002
- HSE ACOP L8
- HSG274 Parts 1–3
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management and control of Legionella risks across all water systems.
- Implement and maintain written schemes of control and ensure they are followed.
- Monitor water temperatures, conduct sampling, flushing, and inspections.
- Maintain accurate and auditable records of all compliance activities.
- Ensure timely completion of remedial actions and escalate any non-compliance.
- Liaise with internal teams and external contractors to ensure service delivery.
- Delivery of small water projects up to a value of £8k.
Performance & KPI Responsibilities:
- Ensure all compliance tasks are completed within agreed timeframes.
- Achieve and maintain 98% completion of scheduled monitoring and inspection tasks.
- Maintain zero overdue actions on Legionella-related remedials.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible for audits.
- Support the team in achieving departmental KPIs related to water safety and compliance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and performance reviews.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Legionella Responsible Person (HXT-WO2) or equivalent
- Mechanical or electrical qualifications at NVQ / C&D level
- Strong understanding of technical compliance
- Good knowledge of Excel and IT programs.
- Proven successful working relationships with high end service providers
- Strong communicator
