The Compliance and Export Control Officer is responsible for developing,
implementing, and managing the company's export control programs, with a primary
focus on adherence to domestic and international export control laws and
regulations. This role ensures all business operations, including sales, deliveries,
R&D, and procurement, comply with applicable legal standards and laws.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and improve the company's Export Control Management System.
Develop, implement, and update internal compliance policies and procedures.
Determine, define, and update regularly all company procedures and guidelines relevant to export control.
Manage and enforce all related process
Arrange and keep secured and updated all export licenses and manage their proper use and record-keeping.
Oversee the preparation of all export documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
Conduct internal necessary actions to verify adherence to export control requirements.
Design and deliver mandatory and targeted compliance and export control training sessions to relevant employees (e.g., sales, presales, operations, etc.).
Promote a strong "Culture of Compliance" throughout the organization.
Provide timely guidance and advisory services to internal stakeholders on compliance-related questions.
Maintain meticulous and organized records of all export transactions, classification determinations, screening results, licenses, and training.
Prepare regular compliance reports for senior management, highlighting key risks and the status of mitigation efforts.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Proven familiarity with the Israeli Defense Export Control Law and the Israeli Defense Export Control Authority (API) procedures – mandatory
Previous experience in the field of defense export control/defense regulation -a significant advantage
High level of integrity and professional ethics.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for policy writing, training, and executive reporting – Hebrew and English.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
Bachelor's degree in law, management or engineering.
Outstanding ability to meet deadlines - including performing urgent and flexible tasks to the schedule
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple interfaces
