About the team + role

The Compliance team’s mission is to contribute to company wide cornerstones, security, transparency and regulation, on which we have built our business to bring safe and reliable access to crypto for all our customers.

This role is based in our Luxembourg office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

As a Compliance Analyst, you will join the Global Compliance Team and contribute to company wide cornerstones, security, transparency and regulation, on which we have built our business to bring safe and reliable access to crypto for all our customers.

What you’ll do

  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Manager of Testing and Monitoring and the local Chief Compliance Officers in the oversight and implementation of the compliance testing and monitoring program.
  • Ensure that effective and adequate policies, processes, and procedures are in place to meet Company’s Compliance, Risk, Internal Control and Control Objectives.
  • Defining, implementing, and updating an exhaustive Compliance Testing and Monitoring Plan.
  • Perform compliance testing assignments as defined in the testing plan to assess, through in-depth process reviews, compliance with regulatory obligations, controls’ suitability of design and/or control effectiveness and addressing potential findings to related stakeholders and ensuring adequate follow-up.
  • Maintain issues and remediation-related information and documentation in a central repository.
  • Track and validate the implementation of remediation plans submitted by issue owners to verify that issues identified during testing and monitoring are remediated.
  • Ensuring that methodologies adopted for both business risk assessments and customer risk assessments are up to date, relevant, and aligned with the overall risk appetite of the business.
  • Actively engaging with Bitstamp by Robinhood’s governing bodies, officers, and staff, sharing best practices, and clarifying potential compliance concerns.
  • Collaborate with other governance team members on an ad hoc internal & external control testing program to ensure key regulatory requirements are monitored, issues identified are appropriately remediated, and results are communicated with key stakeholders.

What you bring

  • Master’s Degree, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial services compliance roles or audit roles.
  • Strong interest or experience in the crypto industry and desire to work within a dynamic, innovative and constantly evolving environment.
  • Working knowledge of laws, regulations, risk management practices for financial services.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify potential risks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Autonomous, pro-active and hands-on with the ability to prioritise and manage own work effectively, apply a breadth of technical, business, product and customer domain knowledge, own the outcome and make an impact.
  • Used to working in a diverse, international, fast-moving business and fast evolving regulatory environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent knowledge of English language (written and verbal).
  • Relevant Compliance certifications or recognized professional certifications in Compliance (such as CAMS) is a plus.
