Communications Manager

As a Communications Manager at La Residencia, a Belmond Hotel, you're part of a team that elevates the legendary art of travel through captivating storytelling and personalized communication, creating a desire for guests and customers to experience Belmond. In this role, you will develop and execute impactful communication strategies and initiatives to strengthen the property's position, increase brand awareness, and generate media visibility.

Primary Responsibilities Include 

·         Develop and execute property communication plans that support global & divisional business goals, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and narrative.

·         Manage media relations, build contacts with media members and community leaders, and proactively pitch journalists to achieve property press targets and increase brand awareness.

·         Work closely with both the Divisional Marketing & Social Media Managers to ensure alignment across all platforms/channels and effectively communicate new stories/campaigns.

·         Create engaging press materials (press releases, news updates, etc.) and respond to media inquiries.

·         Organize and support the creation of property events, fostering relationships with new partners and curating attendee lists based on target demographics.

·         Analyze and report on media coverage, events, and initiatives, sharing successes with key internal stakeholders.

Requirements

What You Bring:

·         5+ years of public relations / communications experience

·         An understanding of the luxury hospitality market

·         Ability to foster collaborative relationships with multi stakeholders and disciplines

·         An imaginative thinker, who can deliver media results through creative storytelling

·         Excellent communication skills with strong presentation & writing skills, fluent in English and Spanish.
