Support the design and delivery of communications for a regional project aimed at fostering social change through Nature-Based Solutions in Jordan.

The International Water Management Institute (IWMI) is an international non-profit, research-for-development organization that works with governments, civil society, and private sector organizations to solve water-related issues in developing countries and scale up solutions. IWMI is headquartered in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and is a CGIAR research center with offices in 15 countries and a global network of researchers operating in about 56 countries.

Al-Murunah+ builds on the core Al-Murunah project by integrating Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) with household resilience-building approaches to promote positive gender norms across pilot sites in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPTs).

The project aims to advance positive gender norms and strengthen household resilience through weekly sessions that enhance household planning, budgeting, decision-making, and the ability to withstand shocks. These sessions are complemented by targeted economic interventions designed to improve women’s access to financial resources, while simultaneously strengthening their voice and leadership opportunities through engagement with community leaders.

Effective communication and knowledge translation are central to Al-Murunah+, supporting visibility, uptake of Nature-Based Solutions, and strategic engagement with policymakers, donors, communities, and private sector actors. To strengthen in-country communications and outreach, IWMI seeks to recruit a Jordan-based Communications Consultant.
