Commissioning Engineer

  • On-Site Commissioning & Maintenance:
  • Commission and troubleshoot mechanical systems, including flare systems, flare gas recovery systems, boiler burners, and thermal oxidizers.
  • Conduct general maintenance, fault analysis, and provide installation supervision to ensure proper functionality of equipment.
  • Perform commissioning of new and retrofit equipment, ensuring all systems are fully operational and comply with Zeeco's high standards.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Prepare Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) and conduct site-specific risk assessments.
  • Adhere to company and customer Health & Safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment on-site at all times.
  • Promote safe practices and conduct safety inductions and training for on-site personnel as required.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed timesheets, commissioning reports, and site visit reports for submission to clients.
  • Document the commissioning and maintenance activities accurately, ensuring all records are up to date and easily accessible.
  • Customer Interaction & Support:
  • Engage with clients on-site, providing technical support, troubleshooting assistance, and training for end-user personnel.
  • Identify opportunities for aftermarket spares, service support, and additional services during site visits and commissioning activities.
  • Deliver technical presentations and hands-on training sessions to customers regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Turnaround & Outage Management:
  • Supervise and manage on-site turnaround and outage projects, ensuring that projects are executed according to the schedule and to Zeeco's quality standards.
  • Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Technical Expertise
  • Strong technical background with experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in combustion and fired equipment, such as burners, flare systems, and thermal oxidizers.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and equipment schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with commissioning and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
  • Experience
  • Previous experience in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industries is highly desirable.
  • Experience in mechanical commissioning, maintenance, or troubleshooting, particularly in combustion systems, is preferred.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively manage tasks on-site.
  • Safety Conscious
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in hazardous environments while adhering to strict safety standards.
  • Knowledge and experience in HSE best practices and ability to conduct safety audits.
  • Communication Skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate documentation and reports.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical details to non-technical personnel.
  • Travel Willingness
  • Willingness to travel frequently across India to project sites, with the potential for extended stays (1-2 weeks at a time).
