Due to our rapid growth in the sustainable energy market, we are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer Bright Renewables that is part of HoSt Group Bioenergy Systems.
As a Commissioning Engineer Bright Renewables, you will ensure that installations are successfully started up, tested, and handed over to clients. Installations include gas upgrading, CO2 liquefaction, carbon capture and new technologies that are in the developing phase. You will be working on diverse project locations in the Netherlands, where our headquarters are located, as well as internationally across Europe (i.e. UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Baltic States, Poland, Czech Republic) and worldwide (USA, Brazil).
You will often work independently on site, taking responsibility for cold & hot commissioning and troubleshooting bioenergy installations, while also coordinating with subcontractors.
Commissioning and testing bioenergy installations (mechanical, electrical, process);
Checking and adjusting control systems (hardware and software);
Coordinating with the remote project team (project manager, project engineer, electrical & software engineers);
Troubleshooting and fine-tuning installations;
Supporting and guiding junior colleagues;
Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers;
Performing international site visits (approx. 3 weeks on site, weekends at home);
Worldwide travel, including projects in USA, UK, Spain, Italy, Latvia, and other Western countries.
Practical or bachelor’s degree in a technical field – for example in process technology, mechatronics, mechanical or electrical engineering;
Several years of experience as a Commissioning Engineer or similar role;
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge and process understanding;
International mindset, fluent in English (other European languages such as German, Italian, Spanish or others are a plus);
Independent and customer-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills;
Driver’s license B;
Willingness to travel internationally.
