Commis de Bar | Season 2026 | Villa Sant'Andrea, a Belmond Hotel

With balconies full of geraniums and subtropical gardens that border an exclusive Sicilian beach – Villa Sant’Andrea, a Belmond Hotel feels like a private home nestled in Taormina Mare.

At the acclaimed restaurant, freshly caught fish and decadent desserts are enhanced by stunning sea views. Guests can relax in the heated infinity pool, wellness centre and stylish beach cabanas. 

For the next season, we are looking for a Commis de Bar to join our passionnate team!

The ideal candidate is open to new challenges and ready to constantly develop yourself further. He/She is willing to support the team to provide authentic and luxury experiences, demonstrating care, curiosity and community. 

Main duties & responsibilities:  

• Fulfil the operations of the Bar, according to the Company policies, high standards and procedures; 

• Support the Bartender with service; 

• Take care of the mise en place: 

• Clean and set-up works’ spaces and equipments; 

• Monitor all aspects of the customers' experience, from the restaurant layout before they arrive to the experience they receive during the service. Act to enhance a flawless service and anticipate Guests’ needs. 

Requirements

• Effective communication: communicate clearly and in an appropriate manner (both verbally and non-verbally); 

• Emotional intelligence: demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and emotions of guests and colleagues and adjust his/her style to them. Manage own emotions in challenging situations; 

• Adaptability: identify when a different approach is needed and offer solutions. Try and adopt new ways of doing things; 

• Collaboration: be able and willing to work as a team player e share information and skills and actively seek and provide feedback;  

Other requirements: 

• Fluent in Italian and basic level of English; 

• Tourism or Hospitality degree preferred; 

• Previous professional experience in a similar role, also with school internships; 

• Passion for service and ambition to grow professionally.
