The Tire Technician is responsible for being able to professionally inspect, repair and maintain services to ensure the high standards of our guests are achieved. 

The hourly range for this role is minimum wage up to $22.00.   

This role is eligible for additional compensation and incentives.  Pay will be based on experience level. 

Responsibilities

  • Installation of tires and tire related services performed Company standards as directed by Manager.
  • Perform accurate PMA.s on every vehicle serviced
  • Properly diagnose and repair vehicles correctly the first time, based on Monro standards and certifications or training levels achieved.
  • Perform honest and accurate PMAs on every vehicle you service and perform any and all repairs and maintenance right the first time.
  • Ability to secure our guests as a result of the diagnosis; maintain a clean, neat work area at all times.
  • Test drive vehicles in a safe manner upon completion of repairs when needed, some repairs or guest concerns may require a test drive prior to work as well
  • Follow all safety rules
  • Operate and maintain all equipment and shop truck when required
  • Stock shelves and assist with all general store duties, including cleaning 
  • Use shop truck in a safe manner to pick up inventory as needed
  • Assist in inventory management to include pulling tires and parts, unloading, and putting away inventory
  • Report problems with equipment or any unsafe conditions to the store manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Required to wear hard-toed oil resistant shoes, proper uniform, safety glasses while working.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to own a basic set of tools or participate in tool purchase program.
  • Ability to work with hands overhead and be able to stand for long periods; have and maintain State Inspector’s license, where applicable.
  • Ability to communicate and write routine reports and correspondence and procedures.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
