Summary
The Plumber provides service for plumbing projects from fixing leakages to installation of pipes and commercial HVAC/Refrigeration and or kitchen equipment.
Details:
- Service customers’ HVAC / plumbing projects from start to finish.
- Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g., electrical wiring)
- Locate, Install, maintain, and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g., leaks).
- Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
- Ensure projects are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
- Install and maintain well-functioning systems that transport water, waste, gases, or hot liquids.
- Read blueprints and drawings to determine best course of action for the layout of plumbing, waste disposal and water supply systems.
- Install and maintain gas and liquid heating systems (air-conditioning units, radiators etc.)
- Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems.
- Other duties as assigned. Opportunity to learn Kitchen Equipment (refrigeration / Gas / Electrical) repair.
Required Experience | Education
- One to three years of plumbing experience with HVAC/Refrigeration and or commercial kitchen equipment.
- Diploma from a Trade School or successful completion of Apprenticeship
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and soft skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
- A mechanical background and or skills in automotive, electrical, installation, would be a plus.
- Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
- Friendly with a great deal of patience
- Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces.
Work Environment:
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance and lift equipment.
- Repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing up and down ladders.
- Extensive daily travel to work site location.
- Exposure to electrical, steam, and high heat units that require extreme caution and safety equipment.
- Occasional to frequent exertion in high and low temperature environments (over heated kitchens, rooftops, outdoors, etc.).
