Commercial Insights Manager

AI overview

Generate high-quality market, user, and workflow insights to inform product strategy and differentiation in the healthcare sector using AI technologies.

About Abridge

Abridge was founded in 2018 with the mission of powering deeper understanding in healthcare. Our AI-powered platform was purpose-built for medical conversations, improving clinical documentation efficiencies while enabling clinicians to focus on what matters most—their patients.

Our enterprise-grade technology transforms patient-clinician conversations into structured clinical notes in real-time, with deep EMR integrations. Powered by Linked Evidence and our purpose-built, auditable AI, we are the only company that maps AI-generated summaries to ground truth, helping providers quickly trust and verify the output. As pioneers in generative AI for healthcare, we are setting the industry standards for the responsible deployment of AI across health systems.

We are a growing team of practicing MDs, AI scientists, PhDs, creatives, technologists, and engineers working together to empower people and make care make more sense. We have offices located in the Mission District in San Francisco, the SoHo neighborhood of New York, and East Liberty in Pittsburgh.

The Role

We are seeking a strategic and analytically rigorous Commercial Insights Manager to help Abridge deeply understand the healthcare market and translate that understanding into differentiated product strategy. This role focuses on generating high-quality market, user, and workflow insights that inform product prioritization, roadmap decisions, and long-term differentiation.

This position partners closely with Product Management and works in close collaboration with the Market Insights & Intelligence Manager to ensure market understanding is effectively translated into downstream competitive intelligence and go-to-market enablement efforts across the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop Deep Market & Workflow Understanding: Build a strong understanding of the healthcare market, including buyer and user needs, care delivery models, and how technology fits into real clinical workflows across settings and specialties.

  • Evaluate Competitive Solutions Through a Product Lens: Analyze Abridge and competitive offerings to identify meaningful points of differentiation, strengths, and gaps, with a particular focus on real-world workflow impact rather than surface-level feature comparisons.

  • Identify and Close Market Knowledge Gaps: Proactively surface gaps in understanding related to users, buyers, clinical workflows, or emerging market dynamics, and design research approaches to address them through primary and secondary research.

  • Inform Product Strategy and Prioritization: Partner closely with Product Managers to ensure market and workflow insights inform roadmap decisions, product prioritization, and differentiation strategy.

  • Produce Clear, Durable Insight Artifacts: Create and maintain well-organized documentation such as market overviews, competitive evaluations, and research summaries that enable Product and cross-functional partners to apply insights consistently over time.

  • Support Executive-Level Market Understanding: Contribute to executive-facing summaries on the market landscape, emerging themes, and implications for product strategy and differentiation.

Collaborate with Commercial Insights & Enablement Partners: Work closely with the Market Insights & Intelligence Manager to ensure upstream market and product insights can be translated into competitive intelligence, enablement assets, and go-to-market narratives where appropriate.

What You’ll Bring

  • 4+ years of experience in market insights, product research, competitive analysis, or related roles within healthcare or health technology.

  • Deep, practical understanding of clinical workflows and how care is delivered across different specialties, care settings, and EHR environments.

  • Experience partnering closely with Product Management or clinical product teams to influence roadmap and prioritization decisions.

  • Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, including user interviews, workflow analysis, and synthesis of complex, ambiguous inputs.

  • Ability to evaluate software products through the lens of real-world workflow impact and clinical adoption.

  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex information into clear, structured insights that influence strategic decisions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort presenting to senior and executive audiences.

  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in ambiguous problem spaces.

  • Fluency in Notion and interest in applying generative AI tools to research, synthesis, and documentation workflows.

Deadline for internal applications is EOD 1/30/2026.
