Commercial Fleet Truck Sales

As a Truck Salesperson, you will be responsible for generating new business and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients in the commercial truck industry. Your primary goal will be to meet or exceed sales targets by promoting and selling our range of truck & van commercial entities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a deep knowledge of commercial trucks, and a proven track record of sales success. Prior truck sales is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Selling new and used trucks in the Colorado market, will be both inside and outside sales calling on customers in your assigned territory.
  • Assists customers in selecting/ordering trucks and components which suit their business needs
  • Actively finds new and existing prospects either by telephone or by making calls to individuals and businesses outside the dealership
  • Provides follow-up and ongoing service to existing customers.
  • Offers service to all walk-in and call-in customers on assigned floor days
  • Delivers new trucks, explaining new-truck warranty and service policies
  • Studies truck and equipment specifications to improve knowledge of product performance and application continually
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Bend, twist, kneel, crouch, work overhead.
  • Employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, and kneel.
  • Employee will be regularly using arms, hands, and fingers to feel, grasp, push, pull or squeeze and reach

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma, equivalent or higher
  • Demonstrated customer service excellence
  • Three to five years’ experience selling preferred
  • Proven ability to work well in a team
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and ability to follow through
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical/drug test and background/MVR check
  • Multi-lingual applicants encouraged.
