Commercial Electrical Project Manager / Estimator

We are seeking a results-driven Commercial Electrical Project Manager & Estimator to oversee projects from initial budgeting and preconstruction through final delivery. This hybrid leadership role combines electrical estimating (McCormick software required) with hands-on project management to ensure commercial construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in commercial electrical estimating, cost control, subcontractor coordination, and field oversight, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive electrical estimates using McCormick software
• Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
• Identify scope gaps, cost risks, and value engineering opportunities
• Manage commercial construction projects from award through closeout
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and financial forecasts
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal field teams
• Monitor job costs, productivity, and project profitability
• Review and process change orders while maintaining cost control
• Conduct site visits to ensure alignment between estimate assumptions and field execution
• Maintain consistent communication with clients, stakeholders, and leadership

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator with McCormick software proficiency (required)
• Strong background in commercial electrical construction project management
• Ability to interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and technical specifications
• Experience managing multiple commercial projects in various phases
• Strong budgeting, cost tracking, and financial oversight skills
• Knowledge of NEC codes and commercial electrical systems
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and mitigate risks
