You will be assisting with the efficient and safe delivery of commercial concrete projects across the Bay of Plenty, working on slabs, foundations, and structural concrete elements. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows the job and can work independently while still being a solid team player.
Located in Tauranga, this is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday, with an hourly rate of $28–$30. Overtime and weekend work may be required as needed.
What you will be doing:
- Constructing commercial concrete slabs, foundations, and structural elements
- Setting up formwork and site layouts from plans
- Placing, screeding, compacting, finishing, and curing concrete to spec
- Operating machinery such as laser screeds and trowelling machines
- Applying strong knowledge of mix designs, slab types, timing, and finishes
- Caring for and maintaining Base Up tools, vehicles, and equipment
- Keeping worksites safe, tidy, and up to company and client standards
- Recording job details, photos, and notes using Buildertrend
- Completing HR and H&S forms via TeamMate
- Working across different divisions when required
- A minimum 3 years’ practical concreting experience, with industrial competence and skill
- Good communication skills and proven ability to work unsupervised
- A high level of physical fitness and can perform manual labour
- A clean, full Class 1 Driver Licence
- Certified Site Safe Foundations Passport – Building Construction.
