He angituutanga: The opportunity
As a Commercial Business Partner - Performance, you’ll help lift enterprise performance by turning data and commercial insight into meaningful action. You’ll bring clarity, challenge, and smart analysis to the way we work, helping improve decision‑making across IAWAI through ROIC, cash performance, scorecards, and margin improvement.
You’ll play a key role in developing and embedding enterprise scorecards, analysing working capital and cash, and ensuring performance insights translate into practical steps that drive real results. Your ability to simplify complex information and highlight what matters will support leaders to make confident, informed decisions.
This role is all about strengthening accountability and supporting continuous improvement across the organisation. You’ll work closely with teams to build a strong performance culture, ensuring our commercial thinking supports better outcomes for our people, our programmes, and the communities we serve.
We’re open to shaping this role around the right person, including flexibility in hours and the possibility of less than full-time work if that is your preference.

- Analytical curiosity, commercial drive, and a commitment to long-term value creation.
- Strong communication and relationship building capability.
- Ability to translate activity and cost into value, assess trade-offs and support fast payback business case developments.
- A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred (i.e., Finance, Accounting or Business Administration). CIMA would be desirable.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience across different financial functions.
- Proven leadership skills in working across multiple teams and systems.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen.
- Proactive, structured, and capable of managing competing priorities in a high-volume environment.
