The Job  

The Command Center Supervisor provides strategic and hands‑on leadership for 24/7 HPC and BTC data center operations, ensuring system uptime, precise monitoring, and rapid incident response. This role oversees Command Center teams, enforces operational and security protocols, and partners with site personnel, engineering, leadership, and the SOC to maintain accurate documentation of system status, performance metrics, and downtime events. The Supervisor ensures data integrity, ticket quality, and high communication standards across all production environments.

This role will drive continuous improvement by refining policies, processes, and best practices; optimizing resource allocation; and implementing solutions that elevate operational efficiency and service delivery. As a people leader, the Supervisor fosters a collaborative, high‑performance culture and leads the recruitment, training, and development of Command Center staff. This position requires a proactive, detail‑oriented leader committed to operational excellence, system availability, and seamless coordination during major incidents.

Responsibilities 

  • Analyze data and organize it; then, communicate clearly and accurately with senior-level management through speaking and writing. 
  • Prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, maintaining professional demeanor and interpersonal skills. 
  • Evaluates and selects among alternative courses of action quickly and effectively.
  • Drafts concise, accurate situational reports and prepares and presents briefing materials. 
  • Provides expertise to the Command Center and is aware of all policies and current events within the data centers.
  • Develop training, education programs, and communications on department policies and topics to ensure staff are prepared for potential security issues, crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events. 
  • Partners with the SOC on crisis and emergency response (severe weather, fire, active‑shooter events), physical access control and identity management, special‑event access needs, and all video monitoring, forensic review, and site‑level investigations
  • Monitor the Command Center Specialists, identify gaps in knowledge, and provide direction.
  • Generate diagnostic reports to be shared with onsite mining technicians. 
  • Effective handling of problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Maintains an open, positive, professional working relationship with site personnel and leadership.
  • Provide new hire training and development. 
  • Assisting with critical data reporting and analytics. 
  • Assist in developing/maintaining Standard Operating Procedures. 
  • Perform comprehensive daily audits of Jira tickets to ensure precise data entry, consistency, and compliance with operational and reporting standards.
  • Foster open, respectful, and professional communication both within the team and with coworkers, teammates, and leaders across the organization. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications 

  • Associate degree in related fields of study OR 3 years of relevant, Data Center support experience required.
  • Expertise in Excel, Microsoft Office, Word, Power Point, etc.
  • Expertise in data center infrastructure, site dependencies, and site configurations required
  • Willing to learn new technologies and applications, required.
  • Strong verbal and written leadership skills required.
  • Experience with applications such as Confluence, Jira, required
  • Ability to communicate cross functionally (i.e. SRE, Network, Engineering, Power, SOC, HPC, Leadership, etc.)
  • Experience with Slack, Zabbix, Databricks, Sigma, Metasys, Ignition preferred.
  • General knowledge of HPC principles and requirements, preferred.
  • Understanding of ITIL service delivery concepts, preferred.
  • Strong IT troubleshooting skills – network, platform, storage, preferred.

Work Environment 

This job is operated in a professional office, warehouse, and data center environment. It routinely uses standard office equipment, including laptop computers, photocopiers, smartphones, ladders, forklifts, and scissor lifts. 

Physical Demands  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and lift up to 50 pounds.   

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work  

This is a full-time, onsite position with rotating 12-hour shifts and on-call weekends. (Nights)
