As a College Admissions Researcher, you will utilize both in-house data and online resources to provide personalized answers to college admissions questions for students and families.

About the Role
College Admissions Researchers search through both our in-house database and the internet in order to assemble personalized sets of data to answer college admissions-related questions asked by our Empowerly students, parents, and counselors.
Responsibilities
Conduct research regarding college admissions as well as high school extracurricular opportunities; presenting personalized findings in a clear and comprehensive manner to each family.
Analyze data from a variety of sources to compile neat, well thought-out advice for each high school family.
Work collaboratively with the Research Manager, Empowerly families and counselors to routinely deliver thorough sets of findings.
Update the team’s collective spreadsheets with each request in order to maintain a collaborative, up-to-date resource for the benefit of the whole team.
Requirements
Familiarity with the U.S. education and college admissions system
Excellent command of the English language
Capable of working independently in a virtual environment– including the ability to self-supervise quality and routine 72 hour deadlines
Willingness to take the adequate time (~0.5 - 2.0 hours) to research each family’s request, and, if necessary, think adaptively in order to find and present alternative opportunities
Strong command of G-Suite, or, a willingness to be taught G-Suite so as to be capable of meeting client expectations
