COLLECTION MANAGER

Job Description:
Will function as a part of an Afghanistan-based intelligence analytical team of military and/or DoD civilian analysts in support of the customer's analytical requirements. This position is a Temporary Full-time role with an estimated deployment of 12 months. Prior to the one-year deployment, a five-week mandatory CONUS training period is required. Collection Managers (CMs) shall be responsible for coordinating Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) collection requirements and ensuring all intelligence data is properly disseminated within the supported command/organization. 

The CM develops, maintains, and updates collection plans based on the supported Commander's Priority Intelligence Requirements. The CM monitors a wide range of available organic and non-organic collection systems for new nominated requirements, then validates and distributes them as required (organic sensors are assigned/attached to the supported command/organization; non-organic belong to other commands/organizations). The CM prepares ISR assessment metrics of IMINT, SIGINT, and HUMINT products to gauge the effectiveness of collection operations. 

The CM interfaces with higher, lateral, and subordinate commands/organizations' Collection and Requirements Managers including entities to answer intelligence - related RFIs and de-conflict or collaborate on AOR requirements and reporting. The CM conducts presentations and briefings when required. 

Required Skills and Education:
Required education: College degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) or equivalent mid-level military enlisted or company grade officer experience.

  • Four years of collection management operational experience within DoD or equivalent government agencies.
  • Background in National, DoD, and Service collection platform capabilities, collection management planning, synchronization, execution, and assessment preferred.
  • Proficiency in utilizing multiple sensors from the intelligence disciplines (SIGINT, HUMINT, GEOINT, CI, MASINT) to collect intelligence.
  • Candidates with tactical ground and air sensor operations and management experience are preferred.
  • Proficiency in utilizing basic computer applications, Microsoft Office products (including Power Point), and intelligence-related automation.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of systems such as Falconview and C2PC, and experience with Intelligence Community Collection Management systems (for example, COLISEUM), mission applications, and communications capabilities within INTELINK, JWICS, and SIPRNET.
  • Strong writing skills and being capable of effectively operating as a member of a Combined/Joint intelligence team required.
  • Strong briefing skills and be capable of effective communication in the accomplishment of collection management reporting and requirements.
  • MUST HAVE ACTIVE TS/SCI
