Cognos BI Reports Developer

ProArch is excited to announce an opening for a Cognos BI Report Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering reports and dashboards using Cognos BI tools. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements and create insightful visualizations that aid in strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Cognos BI reports and dashboards based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with business users to gather reporting requirements and provide expertise in the best reporting practices.
• Design and implement data models and report specifications that meet user needs.
• Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of reports by performing thorough testing and validation.
• Troubleshoot report-related issues and provide timely resolution of any problems.
• Document report designs and processes to facilitate knowledge transfer and maintenance.
• Stay current with Cognos BI features and best practices to optimize report development processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Cognos BI report development.
• COGNOS BI, AWS Fundamentals, PostgreSQL
• Proficiency in developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Cognos analytics tools.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and report design best practices.
• Experience with SQL and relational database concepts.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with business stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing is a plus.
