CNC Router Programmer

The CNC Router Operator is responsible for the successful and efficient operation of all CNC routers, while maintaining order and delivery of cut parts to the carpentry team. This is a hands-on position that will report directly to the Carpentry Foreman.

Key Responsibilities·

  • Understand and interpret router files
  • Oversee cutting strategies to maintain precise cutting and bit life
  • Strategize the best use of new and remnant materials
  • Load and unload sheet goods onto router bed
  • Clean, trim, deburr, and collate finished pieces
  • Maintain machines according to the maintenance schedule
  • Communicate problems and progress to technical management
  • Assist other departments when time allows
  • Maintain a safe work environment

Requirements

  • Associates degree from a 2-year college or technical school
  • 2-3 years carpentry experience in scenic, custom fabrication, or cabinetry industries
  • Proficient with tools and construction materials
  • EnRoute experience preferred.
  • Team oriented, collaborative work ethic
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work overtime



Physical Demands

  • Repetitive use of feet and hands
  • Ability to lift 50 Ibs. repeatedly
  • Ability to push and pull upwards of 75 lbs. repeatedly
