Create and optimize CNC laser cutting programs based on blueprints, CAD files, and production requirements.

Analyze material types, thicknesses, and part geometry to determine proper cutting paths, tooling, and machine parameters.

Develop nesting layouts to maximize material utilization and minimize waste.

Collaborate with engineering, production, and fabrication teams to ensure accurate part interpretation and manufacturability.

Troubleshoot program-related issues on the shop floor and adjust cutting paths or parameters to improve quality and efficiency.

Maintain an organized library of cutting programs, revision histories, and associated documentation.

Support machine operators with program guidance, technical clarification, and process improvements.

Qualifications:

Experience programming CNC laser machines, preferably Bismarck.

Strong understanding of blueprints, CAD files, and technical drawings.

Knowledge of material types and machining parameters for metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
