Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift CNC Laser Programmer to join our team in Louisa, VA. This role involves creating and optimizing CNC laser cutting programs for a Bismarck laser machine to ensure precise, efficient production.
Responsibilities:
Create and optimize CNC laser cutting programs based on blueprints, CAD files, and production requirements.
Analyze material types, thicknesses, and part geometry to determine proper cutting paths, tooling, and machine parameters.
Develop nesting layouts to maximize material utilization and minimize waste.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and fabrication teams to ensure accurate part interpretation and manufacturability.
Troubleshoot program-related issues on the shop floor and adjust cutting paths or parameters to improve quality and efficiency.
Maintain an organized library of cutting programs, revision histories, and associated documentation.
Support machine operators with program guidance, technical clarification, and process improvements.
