THE OPPORTUNITY

Requirements

Our client is seeking a Cloud Specialist to collaborate with our Security Engineers in translating security designs into functional and robust technology solutions. As a technical expert, you will manage and deploy infrastructure as code using Terraform, structure CI/CD processes, oversee multi-account AWS structures, and more.

 

You will play a critical role in monitoring our clients' infrastructure and proactively identifying and resolving potential issues to maintain optimal security and efficiency. This position requires you to stay ahead of the latest security technologies, cloud computing trends, and industry standards, ensuring that our client's services remain cutting-edge and relevant.

 

What You'll Do For Our Client:

  • Collaborate closely with our Security Engineers to transform security designs into functional technology solutions. Utilize your technical expertise to develop and implement innovative strategies that address our customers' security needs.

  • Manage and deploy infrastructure as code using Terraform, modernizing existing resources and provisioning new ones. Structure efficient continuous integration and deployment processes using tools like GitHub Actions.

  • Oversee the setup and implementation of multi-account AWS structures. With guidance from the Security Engineer, configure IAM roles and policies and integrate authentication and authorization systems such as ActiveDirectory, Okta, AWS SSO, and others.

  • Deliver regular internal reports detailing the status of our client’s infrastructure, highlighting any areas of concern or opportunities for improvement. Create comprehensive solution architecture documentation to facilitate technical audits and enhance understanding of security, technology, infrastructure, and application implementations for each client.

  • Proactively address technical inquiries and resolve issues related to technology implementation. Monitor systems in place, identifying and mitigating potential issues to maintain optimal security and efficiency.

  • Stay up-to-date with security technologies, cloud computing trends, and standards, ensuring our client's services are cutting-edge and relevant. Contribute to internal discussions, providing valuable insights into the practical aspects of technology design and implementation strategies.

  • Learn the technologies our clients use and: Collaborate with the decision of whether to migrate to new technologies; Support integrating

Requirements

  • STEM’s Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven experience implementing cloud-based technology solutions, preferably in a security-related context, including networking, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, WAF, GuardDuty, etc.

  • Demonstrable experience with Terraform for managing and deploying infrastructure as code.

  • Strong familiarity with continuous integration and deployment processes, particularly using tools like GitHub Actions.

  • Strong Experience with at least one of AWS, Azure, GCP and other cloud environments (AWS preferred).

  • Proactivity in identifying and resolving technical issues.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex technical information in a clear manner.

  • Strong team player with experience in contributing to technical discussions and decision-making processes.

  • Ability to keep pace with rapid technological changes and a learning mindset towards new technologies and methodologies.

  • Certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) will be a plus.

  • Successful completion of a background check.
