What You’ll Do

  • Client Engagement & Requirements Gathering: Partner with sales and account teams to engage directly with prospective and existing clients. Conduct in-depth discovery sessions to understand their current IT landscape, business objectives, technical challenges, and non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, security, compliance, availability, cost).
  • Solution Design & Architecture: Design comprehensive and optimal cloud solutions leveraging our platform and services, integrated with our European alternative to the hyperscaler. Develop architectural blueprints, design documents, and migration strategies.
  • Technical Deep Dives & Proofs-of-Concept: Lead technical workshops, deliver tailored presentations, and collaborate with Sales Engineers/Implementation teams to develop and demonstrate proofs-of-concept (PoCs) or pilots that validate proposed solutions.
  • Cost Optimization & TCO Analysis: Design solutions with a strong focus on cost efficiency and provide Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis for proposed architectures, ensuring long-term value for the client.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure that all designed solutions adhere to best practices for cloud security, data governance, and relevant industry compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
  • Roadmapping & Implementation Guidance: Create clear roadmaps for cloud adoption and migration. Provide architectural guidance and support to implementation teams (internal or client-side) throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Thought Leadership & Best Practices: Stay abreast of the latest cloud technologies, industry trends, and architectural patterns. Contribute to the development of best practices, reference architectures, and internal knowledge sharing.
  • Presales Support: Support the sales team during the presales phase by providing technical expertise, answering RFIs/RFPs, and building technical credibility with clients.
  • 10+ years of experience in a Cloud Architect, Solution Designer, or Senior Cloud Engineer role, with significant experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions.
  • Deep expertise in at least one major hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) with a strong working knowledge of others. Certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of core cloud services including compute, storage, networking, databases, security, and identity management.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform/Ansible) and cloud-native development practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills – ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences (C-level executives, developers, operations teams).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to define technical solutions from ambiguous business requirements.
  • Experience with migration strategies (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, re-architecting) to the cloud.
  • Consultative approach with a passion for customer success.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Bonus Points If You Have:
  •  Experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud architectures.
  • Background in enterprise architecture or enterprise software.
