Accenture Federal Services is seeking an experienced Cloud Services Engineer with a specialization in AI technologies and experience working with classified systems to help support our high-value clients. This role focuses on implementing, integrating, and optimizing cloud services with particular emphasis on AI/ML service offerings. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud service configuration and management, with specialized knowledge in AI/ML services, enabling them to design and implement solutions that leverage the full capabilities of modern cloud platforms.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Implement, configure, and optimize cloud services across compute, storage, networking, and specialized AI offerings
  • Integrate various cloud services to create cohesive solutions that meet business requirements
  • Configure and optimize AI/ML services such as managed machine learning platforms, cognitive services, and analytics tools
  • Design and implement service architectures that balance performance, cost, and security
  • Ensure cloud services are configured according to security best practices and compliance requirements
  • Create service deployment templates and automation for consistent implementation
  • Monitor and optimize cloud service performance, availability, and cost
  • Develop integration patterns between cloud services and existing systems
  • Provide guidance on service selection and usage based on specific use case requirements
  • Troubleshoot service-related issues and implement remediation strategies

  • Deliver high-quality cloud service implementations that meet business and technical requirements
  • Optimize cloud service configurations for performance, security, and cost-effectiveness
  • Create reusable service templates and patterns to accelerate solution delivery
  • Establish best practices for cloud service implementation and management
  • Reduce operational overhead through service automation and integration
  • Collaborate effectively with platform teams, developers, and business stakeholders
  • Document service architectures, configurations, and operational procedures
  • Stay current with emerging cloud services and AI capabilities
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of cloud service delivery and operations

Technical Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of cloud service offerings across major providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience implementing and managing AI/ML services and related integrations
  • Proficiency in service automation, API integration, and custom service configuration
  • Understanding of service networking, security, and access management
  • Experience with data services including databases, data lakes, and analytics platforms
  • Knowledge of service monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
  • Expertise in service cost optimization and resource management
  • Experience with service-level security controls and compliance implementations
  • Understanding of serverless architectures and event-driven service designs

Here's what you need: 

  • 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or service implementation
  • 3 years of experience implementing and managing AWS services across multiple categories
  • 3 years of experience with cloud service integration and API management
  • 2 years of experience with cloud-based AI/ML services across any major cloud provider
  • 2 years of experience with data services (databases, analytics, ETL)
  • 2 years of experience with service automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, CLI)
  • 2 years of experience with service monitoring, logging, and performance optimization
  • 2 years of experience with cloud security services and compliance implementations
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or 4+ years of relevant job or military experience in lieu of degree
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (Sec+, CISSP, CASP, etc.) or DoD 8140 equivalent

Bonus points if you have:

  • Cloud certifications with service specializations (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with advanced AI services like natural language processing or computer vision
  • Experience implementing machine learning operations (MLOps) services
  • Knowledge of data governance and management services
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and serverless computing
  • Experience with service mesh and API gateway implementations
  • Experience with hybrid cloud service integration
  • Experience with FedRAMP and government cloud service compliance
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban

Security Clearance:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance, preferred with SCI eligibility
  • The position may require a polygraph examination

 

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
