In recent years, we successfully launched and rocked the market with a SaaS version of our flagship on-prem software. We are now looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to help us build new features, scale our infrastructure, and support continued growth.

Position Overview

As a Cloud Engineer, you will be a technical leader on our cloud services team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to design, build, maintain, and optimize our Azure-based infrastructure that powers our web, mobile, and desktop applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technical leader and contributor for our cloud services team, managing and optimizing compute (Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions), storage (Blob, Message Queues, SQL Server, Elastic Pools, Cosmos DB), and networking (VNET, Firewalls, Security Groups) cloud resources that enable our web, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Work closely with your team in an iterative, agile environment to design, develop, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, and deploy Azure infrastructure as code (IaC) automation.
• Create and maintain DevOps build and release pipelines to enable reliable application releases and provisioning.
• Collaborate with the security team on compliance efforts (NIST 800-53, SOC 1 Type 2, SOC 2 Type 2, HIPAA) and implement best practices for Identity & Access Management (IAM) and secrets management.
• Scale and monitor infrastructure as our customer base grows regionally and globally.
• Stay current with cloud technologies and recommend improvements as our environment evolves.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Cloud Engineer experience, with strong hands-on Microsoft Azure expertise or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with DevOps pipelines and infrastructure as code
• Proficiency with Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID, Identity Access Management (IAM), Role Base Access Control (RBAC), Application Managed Identities, and Key Vault Management.
• Experience with C#, Cosmos DB, Redis Cache, and SQL
• Strong experience with Git for version control

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Extensive hands-on experience designing and building Azure infrastructure for a SaaS product from the ground up
• Experience with Document Management, OCR, Accounting, or Automated Workflow software
• Experience leveraging AI services in a SaaS cloud environment
• Relevant certifications (highly desired):
  • AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate
  • AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions
  • AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions
  • AZ-500: Azure Security Engineer Associate

• Pay Range:  $125k Annual
• FLSA: Exempt
• Travel: Minimal (<10%)
• Location: Fully remote unless located near our Baton Rouge office
• Start Date: As soon as possible
