Based in Westminster Colorado, this incredible team is looking for a skilled and experienced Cloud and DevOps Engineer.  Responsibilities include architecting cloud-based DevOps solutions, selecting appropriate toolsets, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Solid skills in cloud-based solution architecture, networking, AWS cloud administration, Linux, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD Pipelines are required.  Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Partner with development and operations teams to gather requirements and architect scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud and DevOps solutions.
  • Evaluate and select modern toolsets based on industry best practices, functionality, support, security, and total cost of ownership.
  • Own the enhancement, automation, and ongoing maintenance of CI/CD and software lifecycle infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot complex system and application-level issues across diverse cloud-native and containerized environments.
  • Support the development and deployment of high-performance computing and data engineering solutions.
  • Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters, manage deployments using YAML and Helm.
  • Implement and maintain configuration management systems (e.g., Ansible).
  • Design and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
  • Lead implementation of secure AWS environments using native security tools and IaC-driven deployments (IAM, SCPs, permission sets).
  • Mentor junior engineers, contribute to peer reviews, and share best practices across the engineering team.
  • Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Relevant experience maybe considered in lieu of education.
  • 5-8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • 5+  years in systems, network, or cloud administration roles.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience designing and deploying AWS-based DevOps solutions (Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Expert-level Linux administration.
  • Proficient in Python and Bash scripting.
  • Strong AWS experience (IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, Systems Manager, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub (GitLab preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Experience in administering databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Neo4j.
  • Skilled in observability and monitoring (e.g., CloudWatch, Elasticsearch).
  • Strong git proficiency (branching, workflows, version control).
  • Understanding of DevSecOps principles and security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Desired:
  • Familiarity with data engineering or backend support for HPC and ML workloads.
  • Experience with AWS Organizations, Service Catalog, and governance/security configurations.
  • Working knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) systems and APIs.
  • Experience with observability stacks (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, DataDog).
  • Familiarity with configuration management systems (e.g., Ansible).
  • Proficiency in AWS CDK or Python Boto3 SDK.
  • Experience with NIST 800-171 and CMMC scoped environments.
  • Experience with:
  • GitLab architecture and restructuring
  • Terraform for AWS infrastructure automation
  • CI/CD pipeline optimization and maintenance
  • Cloud-native artifact repositories (e.g., Artifactory)
  • Workflow/project management tools (Jira, WRIKE, Redmine)
  • Eligibility Requirements:
  • This is an IMMEDIATE hiring need.
  • Ability to work in the Westminster, CO office 3-5 days/week.
