  • Apply and enforce the AWS Well-Architected Framework across reliability, security, performance, cost, and operational excellence pillars
  • Design scalable, resilient, and secure multi-account AWS environments and landing zones
  • Architect enterprise-grade networking and traffic management using AWS-native services (VPC design, routing strategies, load balancing, private service access, endpoint strategies)
  • Define standards for identity, access management, security boundaries, and encryption at scale
  • Architect and govern data platforms and ETL architectures on AWS, supporting batch and near–real-time data processing
  • Provide architectural guidance for ETL pipelines, workflow orchestration, and data movement across systems
  • Define and standardize observability architecture across platforms, including metrics, logs, traces, alerting, and SLIs/SLOs
  • Establish enterprise standards for monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident visibility across AWS workloads
  • Design and govern disaster recovery and business continuity architectures, including backup strategies, multi-AZ and multi-region resiliency, and recovery objectives (RTO/RPO)
  • Drive cost optimization and FinOps practices, including architectural reviews, cost visibility, and efficiency improvements
  • Lead architecture for container platforms on EKS, including cluster design, networking, security, observability, and resilience
  • Establish architectural standards for Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability, disaster recovery, and operational readiness
  • Partner with engineering, data, and research teams to support large-scale, data-intensive workloads
  • Conduct architecture reviews, provide technical direction, and mentor senior engineers

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture, platform, or infrastructure engineering roles
  • Proven enterprise AWS experience operating large, multi-team, multi-account environments
  • Deep expertise in the AWS Well-Architected Framework, including reliability, security, and cost optimization pillars
  • Strong understanding of AWS networking at scale (VPC architectures, routing models, load balancing, private services, endpoint strategies)
  • Experience architecting ETL and data processing platforms on AWS
  • Familiarity with data orchestration and pipeline patterns (batch and streaming)
  • Strong experience designing observability platforms (metrics, logs, traces, alerting) at enterprise scale
  • Experience defining SLIs/SLOs and monitoring strategies for mission-critical systems
  • Proven experience designing disaster recovery and business continuity solutions with defined RTO/RPO
  • Experience driving cost optimization and FinOps initiatives at an architectural level
  • Hands-on experience with EKS, Kubernetes, and container observability concepts
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
  • Solid knowledge of cloud security, IAM design, encryption, compliance, and audit readiness
  • Ability to define long-term architecture while enabling pragmatic delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certifications such as Solutions Architect – Professional or Advanced Networking –Specialty
  • Experience designing high-availability, multi-region AWS architectures
