ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled Cloud/Application Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the security and compliance of cloud infrastructures while providing expert consultation on best practices. The ideal candidate will work closely with various teams to implement security measures and support cloud projects, enhancing the overall security landscape.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct security evaluations and implement cloud security strategies in AWS and Azure environments.

• Collaborate with teams to develop and implement static CSPM (Cloud Security Posture Management) rules.

• Provide consulting and advisory services on secure configurations based on CIS Controls and benchmarks.

• Lead workshops and assist in the installation and configuration of firewalls for limited environments.

• Advise on Cloud Security frameworks, including NIST CSF, and implement solutions using tools like Terraform.

• Support CI/CD processes and conduct assessments related to supply chain security and secure software development practices.

• Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, ensuring adherence to security policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner are highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, practices, and tools, particularly within AWS and Azure environments.

• Experience in security consulting, implementing secure configurations, and conducting security assessments.

• Familiarity with CIS benchmarks and secure configuration practices.

• Knowledge of DORA regulations and experience with GitLab CI/CD environments is a plus.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Willingness and readiness to travel as required by project or client needs is expected. This may include occasional domestic or international travel, sometimes on short notice.
