Role Overview -
 The Clinical Writer will be responsible for creating, organizing, and editing high-quality medical and scientific content for publications, journals, case reports, conference abstracts, and internal research documentation. This role requires strong medical writing skills and the ability to work closely with surgeons to translate complex surgical oncology cases into structured academic output.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Draft and edit case reports, original research articles, review papers, and abstracts for submission to peer-reviewed journals.
  • Coordinate with surgical oncology consultants to collect clinical data and summarize case discussions.
  • Ensure all manuscripts comply with journal guidelines and ethical publication standards (e.g., ICMJE, COPE).
  • Maintain records of ongoing and published works, author lists, and timelines.
  • Develop poster and presentation content for conferences (e.g., ASCO, ESSO, IASO, etc.).
  • Support the RPW lead in planning publication calendars and literature reviews.
  • Assist with consent documentation and anonymization of patient data for research use.
  • Stay updated with the latest oncology research and publication trends.

Requirements

  • M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Medical Writing / MPH / MBBS / BDS / MPharm preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in clinical or scientific writing (preferably oncology-focused).
  • Strong understanding of clinical research methodology and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written English and ability to simplify complex data.
  • Familiarity with PubMed, EndNote, and reference management tools.

Preferred Skills -

  • Prior exposure to surgical oncology literature.
  • Knowledge of statistical reporting in clinical papers.
  • Experience coordinating multi-author manuscripts.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
