Clinical Trial Site & Partner Engagement Lead (LatAm)

TLDR

Lead site engagement and manage relationships with clinical trial sites across Latin America, ensuring effective patient referrals and operational execution at HealthMatch.

About HealthMatch

We’re on a mission to advance medicine by connecting patients with clinical trials. 80% of trials are delayed because they can’t find enough participants. We’re closing that gap with technology and patient engagement. We have over 2 million patients in our database, a lean team of less than 20, and are ambitiously growing.

About the Role

HealthMatch is launching an expansion into Latin America. This role is the person who makes it happen.

You’ll build and manage relationships with clinical trial sites across Brazil and broader LatAm, coordinate patient referrals, and ensure sites are actively engaging with patients we send them. This is not a strategy role, it’s heavy execution with the autonomy and ownership that comes with being early at a startup.

You’ll work closely with our global team and report directly to leadership. The role requires occasional travel to the US (expenses covered by HealthMatch).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead site engagement across LatAm markets - starting with Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico

  • Build relationships with clinical research sites, onboard them to the HealthMatch platform, and ensure they actively manage patient referrals

  • Coordinate patient follow-up and ensure referral statuses are accurately maintained in our portal

  • Navigate regulatory and operational nuances across different LatAm markets

  • Handle patient coordination and medical record review as required to support the team

  • Contribute to broader HealthMatch operations beyond LatAm as needed — we hire versatile people, not specialists who can only do one thing

About You

  • Fluent in English & Portuguese

  • Professional competency in Spanish preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in clinical research, CRO, site management, or patient recruitment

  • Execution-heavy - you don’t wait to be told what to do, and get things done proactively

  • Comfortable working across time zones with a US/Australia-based team

  • Tech-savvy and eager to learn new tools - at HealthMatch, everyone builds tech solutions to automate their own work, and crunches their own data

  • Versatile: excellent at clinical ops, good across several other areas, and elite at figuring out new things

What’s Hard About This Job

We’re a small team. There’s no one to hand things off to. You’ll be the only LatAm-focused person initially, and you need to be self-sufficient. The workload will scale fast when the project kicks off. You’ll need to adjust to working across time zones with a team that expects high output and low ego.

If this scares you, this probably isn’t the right role. If it excites you, keep reading.

The Hiring Process

  1. Online application + async video screening (3–4 questions, 10 minutes)

  2. 20-minute intro call with hiring manager

  3. Paid take-home project (~3 hours, you will be compensated for your time)

  4. In-person culture interview (location TBD, potentially in the US)

HealthMatch prides itself on its diverse and inclusive culture. We encourage anyone excited about this role to apply, even if you don’t meet every requirement.
