The Clinical Sales Representative provides clinical and sales support of CVRx technology and business applications through education of current and potential customers, and procedure coverage within a defined region or geography.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for effectively communicating product and clinical benefits of CVRx devices to cardiologists, Heart Failure, Hypertension Specialists, and cardiac/vascular surgeons to ensure their understanding of the clinical therapy.
- Educate and train clinicians, office, and hospital staff on the proper use of CRVx products.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during implant procedures, follow-up procedures, and patient office visits to ensure positive clinical outcomes.
- Work with Account Managers in developing a sales plan tailored to the local market.
- Work with hospital staff and key physicians in the development and execution of a plan to effectively launch CVRx programs at new customer sites and ensure ongoing commitment to the program.
- Drive utilization and continuous expansion of CVRx products through disease state education and supporting the development of therapeutic programs.
- Effectively convert high potential leads and drive training activities.
- Meet with existing and potential health care providers to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and provide creative and feasible solutions.
- Support Clinical Research function to ensure enrollment, high quality follow-up, and completeness of data for the Company’s studies.
Education and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively manage relationships with key customer groups and CVRx staff.
- Ability to master concepts of a medical & surgical nature and that of active implantable medical device technology.
- Independent, self-motivated, self-starter with the drive and persistence to introduce a novel and innovative technology to the market.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience with products for cardiology or cardiac surgery therapeutic devices preferred.
- Healthcare experience beneficial.
- Proven track record with clinical trial and technical training assignments.
- Knowledge of market with clear understanding of competitive devices, strategies, advantages/disadvantages as they relate to the company’s devices.
- Ability to interact with R&D to represent customer perspective in order to provide input on product enhancements and new product development.
Working Conditions
- Normal office conditions.
- This position will require interfacing with multiple internal departments and physician investigators/customers.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to travel 50% or more.
- May be required to be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus and other diseases.
Salary
- $90,000 - $130,000 base + variable comp.
