Job Summary:
The Clinical Research Analyst (CRA) will support various clinical research studies within the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

Job Duties:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruitment of study participants (e.g. identifying, screening potential participants & obtaining informed consent)
  • Data collection
  • Coordination of participant visit schedules, as per study protocol
  • Biospecimen coordination
  • Liaising with sponsors and stakeholders
  • Management of study databases
  • Execution of study-related administrative tasks (e.g., completion of relevant study logs, trackers, etc.
  • Maintenance of regulatory files
  • Preparation of ethics submissions
  • Other research related tasks may be asked of the CRA, as applicable.
  • At minimum, completion of a Bachelor’s degree program, or recognized equivalent in Health or Science related discipline.
  • Education in Clinical Research and/or certification as a Clinical Research Professional (e.g., SOCRA, ACRP) preferred.   
  • At least two (2) years of clinical research experience, previous oncology experience is an asset.
  • Experience recruiting human participants for clinical research studies.
  • Familiarity with medical and scientific terminology.
  • Excellent communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple activities concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and transparently within a multidisciplinary team of clinical, research, and administrative staff.
  • Ability to take initiative, troubleshoot independently, and adapt to circumstances.
  • Demonstrated empathy and ability to interact sensitively with participants experiencing emotionally difficult situations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems.
