AT A GLANCE

The Clinical Informatics Specialist supports clinical and operational teams in the medical practice by ensuring workflow efficiencies, problem solving when EMR (Electronic Medical Record) issues arise, training new team members on EMR best practices, and managing special projects in support of organizational key performance indicators.  

What You’ll Do

  • System Expert: Maintain a deep understanding of athenaOne workflows, including Collector (billing), Clinicals, and Communicator. 
  • Internal Support & Troubleshooting: Act as the first line of support for end-users to resolve technical issues, minimizing workflow disruptions. 
  • Training & Onboarding: Conduct training for new hires and retrain existing staff on updated features or best practices. 
  • Optimization & Feedback: Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, relaying user feedback and needs to the IT or Informatics team. 
  • Special Projects: Serve as a project manager to ensure workflows support meeting organization goals (e.g. key performance indicators)  
  • Patient Care: At times, interface with patients as needed for reasons that include, but are not limited to clinical triage, appointment scheduling, issue resolution, or answering questions   
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to train and solve problems  

What We’re Looking For

  • Associate’s degree in Healthcare, Healthcare Management, Clinical Informatics, or a related field 
  • Active clinical license (e.g. Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, etc.) 
  • At least two years of experience using Athena Electronic Medical Record in a patient care capacity or as an Athena Super User  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and maintain accurate records.  
  • Experience managing projects that support achieving success on key performance indicators  

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.

  • Starting Salary: $52,500 - $65,000
    *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience
