The Clinical Data Analytics Manager oversees and facilitates the extraction, management, and analysis of clinical data from the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). This role ensures that data requests from clinicians, researchers, and administrative end-users are fulfilled accurately, securely, and in compliance with hospital data governance policies. The manager works collaboratively with end users, clinical departments, IT, and data management teams to support the efficient use of clinical data for operational, research, and quality improvement purposes.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for all clinical data extraction requests from EMR ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Coordinates with IT, EMR, and other data management teams to ensure data extraction aligns with system capability, security, and policy requirements.
- Reviews, validates, and prioritizes user-submitted data requests to ensure proper documentation, scope, and alignment with institutional goals.
- Provides technical and analytical specifications for data requests, ensuring clarity between end-users and data engineers.
- Supports data quality assurance processes, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of extracted clinical data.
- Guides and supports clinical departments in understanding and interpreting extracted data for operational or research use
- Coordinates with the Data Governance and Compliance Teams to ensure adherence to privacy, security, and ethical standards in data use.
- Collaborates with the IT and EMR teams in enhancing reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics systems for improved accessibility and decision-making.
- Facilitates user acceptance testing (UAT) for analytics-related enhancements and reports, documents findings, and coordinates resolution
- Monitors data utilization post-deployment and evaluates user adoption of analytics tools or dashboards.
- Participates in departmental, interdepartmental, and institutional meetings related to EMR data management and analytics
Performs other related functions as may be assigned by the department manager or MIDA-AVP
Requirements
Experience / Education Requirements:
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Informatics, Statistics, Computer Science, Nursing, or any health-related or data analytics field from an accredited institution.
- With at least three (2) years of work experience in healthcare analytics, data management, or clinical informatics; similar hospital experience from another institution is accepted.
- A Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Data Analytics, Public Health, or Business Administration is an advantage.
- Has at least one (1) year experience in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for reporting, analytics, or workflow optimization.
- Demonstrates knowledge and application of data management, informatics, and data governance principles in a healthcare setting.

- Familiar with the institution’s EMR system — including its data structure, reporting modules, and workflow integration.
- Proficient in assessing data requirements and translating user needs into technical specifications and analytical outputs.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret clinical data and ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability.
- Well-versed in using data visualization and reporting tools and familiar with SQL or other data query languages.
- Skilled in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and facilitating collaboration across clinical, IT, and administrative functions.
- Knowledgeable in project management methodologies and capable of leading analytics or system enhancement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Computer literate, updated with analytics trends and technologies applicable in a tertiary hospital institution.

License or Certification Requirements:
- Registered professional with active PRC license (if from a clinical background).
- Certification or training in Health Informatics, Data Analytics, or Project Management is an advantage.
