The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and willing to learn all aspects of the trade: felling, climbing, rigging, equipment operation, and vegetation management. This is a full time, year-round, outdoor, physical labor opportunity and the candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks in the arboricultural field.. Duties include: Climbing, rigging and operating equipment at varying heights up to 75ft; manual removal of vegetation from work areas, running various forestry equipment, and performing line clearance, pruning, and removals.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 18 years of age with a High School Diploma/GED/or equivalent.
Must have a current and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
Must be able to work outside in various types of weather.
Must be able to walk Transmission Right of Ways & climb trees of varying heights
Must be physically able to perform the requirements of the position (i.e., walk on uneven ground, carry 75 lbs.).
Must be able to work in a team environment and be safety orientated.
Must be willing and able to learn how to run a bucket truck & operate equipment safely.
Chainsaw or climbing experience a plus, but willing to train the right candidate.
Must be willing and able to obtain a CDL A or B license within the first 6 months of employment (this is paid for by Lucas Tree Experts).
Must be willing and able to obtain, and maintain licenses & certifications as required by the position to grow your career (this is paid for by Lucas Tree Experts).
Must be able to successfully complete a post offer physical & drug screen as well as a background and motor vehicle check.
