With ambitious growth plans, the CMMC Manager will play a pivotal role in the commercial success of Dentons in Belgium. This role will work closely with local office partners and lawyers on a daily basis and reports to the Europe Clients & Markets Director, with a dotted line to the Country Managing Partner. The role is embedded in the wider Europe CMMC team and works with colleagues in both regional Practice/Sector CMMC roles and in local/country CMMC roles, as well as specialists in Brand, Communications, Digital, CRM and Events on a projects basis.

The ideal CMMC Manager is a generalist and will work across the full spectrum of CMMC activities. Business development projects such as opportunity management (proposals) and cross-selling will go hand in hand with marketing initiatives such as working on our brand awareness, social media and client events. Proactivity is key. The CMMC team works closely together with central and local Clients & Markets, Marketing & Communications colleagues in Europe.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Lead and execute business development initiatives. Drive cross-selling opportunities across practice groups and jurisdictions, coordinating with partners to identify client needs and expand existing relationships.
  • Produce client-focused pitches and proposals. Manage the creation of tailored capability statements, RFP responses, and pitch materials to support client acquisition and retention efforts.
  • Market and client research. Gather and organize information on target clients, sectors, and competitors to assist partners and senior BD team members in identifying opportunities and preparing for meetings.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies. Build and deliver marketing initiatives that strengthen brand visibility and reputation in the market while aligning with other offices. This includes working on Directory submissions and awards.
  • Work on internal- and external communications such as PR, newsletters and press releases in collaboration with our Europe Communications team.
  • Maintain memberships and engagement with relevant professional organizations. Coordinate Dentons’ presence in associations and networks that support the firm’s marketing and business development goals, ensuring strong visibility and relationship-building within the business community.
  • Coordinate events and activities. Planning and execution of seminars, client events, conferences, and webinars, including logistics, invitations, follow-up, and on-site coordination.
  • Manage (digital) marketing and content — Oversee website updates and social media activity to ensure consistent messaging and effective engagement with target audiences.
  • Report on performance and ROI — Track KPIs for marketing and BD initiatives, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to partners and senior leadership for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Professional Services Marketing and/or Business Development.
  • Self-starter, proactive personality in combination with ‘style-flexibility’ to successfully establish trust with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Team player, adept at working in a dynamic international environment
  • Understands the need and has the ability to manage expectations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with great attention to detail.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to assist when needed.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a plus.
  • Sound working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel and LinkedIn.
