Role Overview 

Within the Payroll Department, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to manage employee benefits for our clients.  

This role oversees the full lifecycle of benefits administration, from strategy and vendor quoting to enrollment and ongoing plan management, while ensuring clear communication, compliance, and an excellent client experience. 

Key Responsibilities 

Benefits Strategy & Advisory 

  • Support the design and implementation of client benefits strategies aligned with business needs and budgets. 
  • Provide clear guidance on plan structure, cost optimization, and employee experience. 

Benefits Quoting & Vendor Coordination 

  • Prepare and manage benefit quotations with insurance carriers and providers. 
  • Analyze plan options, pricing, and coverage to support informed client decisions. 
  • Maintain strong relationships with brokers, carriers, and external partners. 

PEO & Benefits Setup 

  • Coordinate benefits implementation within PEO environments when applicable. 
  • Ensure accurate configuration of eligibility rules, plan structures, and payroll integration. 

Benefits Plan Administration 

  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of health, retirement, and ancillary benefit plans. 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal procedures. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and audit readiness. 

Benefits Enrollment 

  • Lead open enrollment and new-hire enrollment processes. 
  • Communicate plan options, timelines, and requirements clearly to clients and employees. 
  • Resolve enrollment issues promptly and professionally. 

Communication & Client Experience 

  • Deliver excellent communication with both clients and internal teams. 
  • Demonstrate strong ability to explain complex benefits concepts in a clear, accessible manner. 
  • Provide responsive, high-quality client service throughout the benefits lifecycle. 

Organization & Planning 

  • Maintain strong planning, tracking, and follow-up across multiple clients and timelines. 
  • Ensure high levels of accuracy, responsiveness, and service quality. 

Requirements

  • Experience in benefits administration, payroll, HR, or a related field. 
  • Familiarity with PEO environments and U.S. employee benefits. 
  • Prior experience working in a CPA firm or professional services environment is highly desirable. 
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly to clients and internal stakeholders. 
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities with exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Experience working with international clients is a plus. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-service environment. 
  • French a plus.
