We are seeking a proactive and entrepreneurial Client Partner - AI Startups to help scale our Turing Talent business within the AI startup ecosystem. This role will be a critical driver of new business growth and community engagement across high-growth AI startups, with a particular focus on the Bay Area.

In this role, you will both manage and expand a portfolio of startup customers while actively generating new opportunities through deep engagement in the AI startup community. You will represent Turing at industry events, host founder dinners and roundtables, and work closely with the GM of Turing Talent and the Head of Startup Ecosystem to execute our startup GTM strategy. While this role retains core account management responsibilities, it places greater emphasis on proactive business development, community-building, and positioning Turing as the partner of choice for AI startups seeking world-class technical talent.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a portfolio of AI startup customers, serving as the primary point of contact while driving both retention and expansion.
  • Proactively generate new business by building relationships with founding teams, operators, and technical leaders across the AI startup ecosystem, with a strong focus on the Bay Area.
  • Represent Turing in the startup community through conferences, meetups, curated founder dinners, and roundtables to build awareness & pipeline.
  • Partner closely with the Head of Startup Ecosystem & GM of Turing Talent to execute the startup GTM strategy and convert community engagement into revenue opportunities.
  • Identify & close upsell, cross-sell, and net-new opportunities for Turing’s talent and advisory services, anchored in startup business and product outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to startup customers on their AI and/or technical talent needs, surfacing insights and feedback to improve Turing’s offerings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with delivery, solutioning, finance, and marketing teams to ensure successful execution as well as a seamless client experience.
  • Build and maintain scalable processes for startup engagement, including CRM hygiene, reporting, and consistent client communication.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience with the AI startup ecosystem including founding teams, venture-backed companies, and emerging technology trends.
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B account management, customer success, business development, or client services
    • Ideally supporting startups or high-growth technology companies.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively generate new opportunities through relationship-building, in-person events, and ecosystem engagement.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing a portfolio of accounts with a structured and scalable approach.
  • Experience working with technical or product-focused customers and translating their needs into talent or services solutions.
  • Energy and enthusiasm for participating in and helping shape the startup and AI community.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; comfortable operating in ambiguity while bringing structure through process and execution.
  • Data fluency, including experience using dashboards and metrics to inform strategy and performance.
  • Passion for delivering high-value customer experiences and aligning internal teams around client success.


Compensation: $200k - $240k OTE (50/50 base and variable) + equity
