Role: Client Finance Analysts

Location: Remote, Canada

About the role: 

The Client Finance Analyst reports to the Finance Director.  This person will be responsible for providing financial oversight and management for their client portfolio. The Client Finance Analyst will provide support for all commercial business operations, including revenue forecasting, client financial reporting, and ensuring account teams are properly using Oliver’s proprietary job costing system 

What you will be doing: 

  • Assume role of Client Finance Analyst on assigned client business providing financial support to both clients and account teams. 
  • Assist with forecasting projected revenue on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis. Work with Client Finance Director and Business Leads to monitor monthly revenue pipeline. 
  • Provide commentary on revenue variances to forecast for each assigned client on a weekly basis. 
  • Responsible for tracking revenue completion progress on projects. 
  • Ensure billing instructions are communicated appropriately to the Billing Team. 
  • Review job set up for accuracy and work with the account teams to correct mistakes. 
  • Ensure Production jobs are billed timely and to completion. 
  • Ensure all signed scopes, POs, etc. are in hand so billing and revenue recognition can begin. 
  • Review WIP on a weekly basis with billers and account people (backup when needed to resolve questions). 
  • WIP analysis - Summary and Aging - checking for overages, etc. while communicating final billing to Billing Team. 
  • Balance Sheet Analysis – Summary and Aging – checking for variances on completed jobs and purchase orders along with communicating journal entries to Controller’s group. 
  • Provide critical support to Client Finance Director.

  • Industry experience preferred but not required 
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience 
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from CAD $76,500.00 to CAD $85,500.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package.
