Client Account Lead (State of Texas)

The Client Account Lead plays a pivotal role within Kaseware’s U.S. Government Practice, managing our book of business for the State of Texas. This role combines strategic account ownership, account management, and expansion responsibility within a defined portfolio.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in public safety or government technology programs, excels in relationship management, and thrives in a mission-driven environment. The Client Account Lead will carry a quota focused on renewals, upsells, and account expansion, ensuring every account continues to realize measurable value from Kaseware’s platform.

Job Type: Full-time, Exempt

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Drive New Business & Account Management: Manage a dedicated portfolio of Texas State Agency accounts while actively prospecting and closing net-new sales opportunities across the Texas government sector.
  • Quota Ownership: Own and exceed assigned quota focused on a mix of new customer acquisition, retention, upsell, and expansion opportunities within existing Texas agencies.
  • Platform Expertise: Become proficient in demonstrating the Kaseware platform to showcase value to prospective agencies and deepen feature adoption for existing clients.
  • Strategic Account Planning: Develop multi-year account plans aligned with agency objectives, Texas state procurement cycles (e.g., DIR timelines), and Kaseware’s regional growth strategy.
  • Executive Engagement: Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and executive meetings to communicate results, adoption metrics, and roadmap alignment to agency leadership across the state.
  • Reporting: Report directly to the US Practice Lead, maintaining alignment on Texas State-specific account priorities
  • Expansion Strategy: Identify opportunities for account expansion through deeper platform utilization, new departmental cross-sells, and user adoption initiatives.
  • Trusted Advisor: Act as a trusted advisor to agency executives and technical leads, aligning Kaseware’s capabilities with state mission objectives and operational needs.
  • Sales Hygiene: Maintain accurate sales forecasts and account health metrics in Salesforce, including new business pipeline, renewal status, and account risk indicators.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 50% travel (primarily within Texas).

Required Education: 

Bachelor’s Degree (Required)

Required Skills &  Experience:

  • 8–12 years of experience in Consulting, Public Safety, or Account Management, or Client Services, preferably within Federal, public safety, justice, or government technology environments.
  • Proven track record of exceeding retention and upsell targets in enterprise or public-sector SaaS accounts.
  • Strong understanding of Government procurement.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage executive and technical stakeholders alike.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple complex accounts simultaneously.
  • Experience working cross-functionally across Product, Support, and Program Delivery organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in public safety, government technology, or SaaS environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the security, intelligence, or law enforcement sectors.
