Summary

LAUNCHING JANUARY 2026...SPEVCO is proud and honored to have been chosen to provide the design, build, and tour logistics services for the "America 250" program, celebrating the 250th anniversary of our country's founding.  This tour will feature several custom expandable trailers (built by SPEVCO) that serve as mobile museum experiences.  It will tour regions across the entire United States.

Who We Are

For over 50 years, SPEVCO has designed and built Special Event Vehicles and operated road tours for a variety of campaigns: mobile museum experiences, workforce development, mobile product marketing, command & control, disaster relief, corporate hospitality, mobile medical, and more.

Our clients are cool. Our culture is awesome.  Our programs are rocking.  Our people are pure gold.

Who We Want

SPEVCO will be hiring six (6) full-time Class A CDL Tour Operators/Managers.  Do you have CDL Class A driving experience?  Do you love to travel?  Do you have exceptional client service skills?  Have you operated specialty trailers/exhibits for brand activation and/or experiential marketing?  If so, we want to talk to you.

What You’ll Really Be Doing

Driving is just the beginning of this position.  Spevco’s Class A CDL Tour Managers drive and operate one-of-a-kind, custom exhibits in support of our clients’ mobile experiential needs.  In this case, it is a tour celebrating the 250th anniversary of our country...How cool!!!  Each of these units will tour a region of the US for at least 1 year.  In this role, a single person will operate each custom trailer.  You can expect to:

  • safely drive our custom Class A Vehicles and mobile exhibits
  • set the stage for an awesome Mobile Museum experience by preparing the mobile exhibit (set up, cleaning, and tear down) for this year-long celebration
  • interact with people from all walks of life during events: VIP guests, government officials, corporate executives, school-age students, and the general public
  • always act professionally and always follow safety guidelines
  • have a lot of fun in the process

But, a lot goes on behind the scenes to achieve this...

  • We'll train you to operate the Mobile Museum and all of its associated equipment at SPEVCO's headquarters in Pfafftown, NC (just outside of Winston-Salem).
  • You'll travel your assigned region of the US, and specific event schedules may vary from week to week.
  • As a Class A CDL holder, you will safely drive the Mobile Museum to each event site to set up for the event.
  • Execute the event (it may be a single day or multiple days at the same event site), and pack up for travel to the next event site.
  • You'll ensure the Mobile Museum and all associated equipment is clean, safe, and show-ready for event guests.
  • Full training and onboarding will be provided at SPEVCO, including safe operation of the Mobile Museum, operation of all onboard technology and interactive components, ELDs, event reports, and more.

There will be a client-supplied brand ambassador assigned to each Mobile Museum as well (traveling in their own chase vehicle) to handle the brand engagement and speaking-related requirements.  Spevco acts as the logistical partner by safely moving, operating, and managing all of the tour equipment.
