Job Summary:

The Claims Administrator supports the VP of Risk Management by processing incoming claims, coordinating communication with clients and carriers, and assisting throughout the claims management cycle.

Essential Functions:

  • Review and determine policy coverage for incoming claims.
  • Intake and document claims from email, fax, and other sources; update claim system accurately.
  • Investigate and evaluate claims for denial, subrogation, or potential fraud.
  • Prepare initial action plans and maintain required records, including workers’ compensation documentation.
  • Complete four‑point contact with clients, adjusters, employees, and providers.
  • Report claims to carriers and communicate updates to the VP of Risk Management.
  • Manage correspondence, respond to inquiries, and document all file activity.
  • Participate in client claims reviews as needed.
  • Ensure claimants complete required forms and paperwork.
  • Coordinate with claimants, providers, adjusters, and clients to move claims forward.
  • Provide regular status reports and assist with loss control materials and training.

Competencies & Qualifications: 

  • Strong computer skills; knowledge of insurance laws and medical/legal terminology.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage confidential information and multiple priorities.
  • Effective working with teams at all levels.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of insurance industry experience; multi‑state/multi‑facility experience preferred.
  • Experience with AMS360 a plus.
  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Adjuster license and/or professional certifications (ARM, CPHRM) preferred.

This range represents the estimated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to performance, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of FRP's total compensation package for employees.

$55,000$75,000 USD
