We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer – Power Delivery / Substation Site Design professional to support complex infrastructure projects within the energy and utilities sector. Key responsibilities include: Identify, analyze, and resolve complex engineering, technical, and design challenges related to power delivery and substation civil-site projects Plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor engineering work activities Prepare accurate and timely technical reports, calculations, sketches, and project documentation Develop and produce substation civil-site drawing packages using industry standards and best practices Monitor project deliverables and schedules, presenting solutions and recommendations to clients Interact regularly with client engineers and technical stakeholders Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers Champion company objectives and represent the organization in a professional manner Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across disciplines Support continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and professional knowledge Perform additional duties as assigned by management Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution 3–5 years of professional engineering experience Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure within one year Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a team Experience preparing and reviewing technical documentation and engineering calculations Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving capabilities Desired experience and skills: Project coordination and task management experience Ability to think creatively and logically to resolve design challenges Support proposal development and contract review efforts Experience with site due diligence, feasibility studies, and regulatory permitting Preparation of conceptual and detailed site plans, grading, drainage, erosion control, and stormwater management plans Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements Experience obtaining permits and coordinating with regulatory agencies Field experience supporting construction activities and resolving design issues Familiarity with NPDES, SWPPP, and construction compliance requirements Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design tools; experience with GIS and engineering analysis software is a plus Work environment and physical considerations: Combination of office-based work with occasional site visits Moderate noise environment typical of professional office settings Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions and electrical risk during site visits Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and standard physical activity associated with engineering fieldwork
