We are seeking a highly qualified Civil Engineer to join our growing team of engineering and ergonomics professionals. Details about the role are as follows:

  • Supervise construction and service projects at a major automotive industry site in Chihuahua.
  • This role involves comprehensive coordination of civil works and auxiliary services (cleaning, gardening, fumigation, roof and equipment maintenance)
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and local regulations.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, results-oriented, and capable of working in dynamic environments while maintaining effective communication with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise on-site construction and service activities, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate contractors and suppliers, ensuring performance according to schedules and contracts.
  • Conduct safety and quality inspections, documenting findings and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and update project schedules, daily/weekly reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Manage risks, costs, and resources, proposing cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
  • Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders and report progress to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and corporate site standards.

Rotating / Sporadic Shifts

  • Shift Type 1: Wednesday to Saturday, 07:00 – 19:00 (day shift).

  • Shift Type 3: Wednesday to Saturday, 19:00 – 05:30 (night shift).

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction supervision and contractor coordination.
    • English proficiency: 60%.
    • Strong knowledge of construction standards, industrial safety, and local regulations.
    • Proficient in MS Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
    • Availability to work at heights (roof inspections).
    • Male candidate required (due to inspections in male restrooms).
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
