Position Description 

As a Civil BIM/CADD Technician, you will be an integral part of the project design & production team. This position will generate ideas into reality by coordinating with different engineers & disciplines to produce drawings and other construction documents. A Civil BIM/CADD Technician will use AutoCAD Civil 3D software to create three-dimensional drawings as directed by a senior engineer or designer. This position will assist in design and quality control to produce the best possible outcomes for our clients.  

 Position Salary Range*

The expected salary range for this position is $50,000 to $65,000 annually.

 Required Qualifications** 

  • An associate degree or higher education in computer technology, drafting and design, integrated arts, animation and modeling, or other related programs
  • 2+years of job-related experience
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Auto CADD, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Basic understanding of site, utilities, & transportation design components

Position Responsibilities*** 

  • Set up drawings utilizing company CAD standards and basic design criteria provided by an engineer
  • Under an engineer’s supervision, prepare and modify drawings
  • Assist in production of entitlements & construction documents utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D software
  • Coordinate production of documents with other disciplines
  • Modify drawings based on written or graphical comments received from supervisors or other senior team members
  • Prepare construction documents as directed by an engineer, designer, technician, or project manager, i.e., plans, sections, profiles, elevations, details
  • Perform basic engineering calculations and take-offs
  • Prepare and coordinate production plotting efforts with the team and other disciplines
  • Notify other team members/departments of changes that may affect their drawings

*Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate’s years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law). This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
