Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Real-World Evidence / Real-World Data

Luminary Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) with expertise in Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Real-World Data (RWD) to lead the strategic and operational initiatives of our client. As the COO, you will play a critical role in driving growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction within the RWE/RWD space.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the company's strategic plans and initiatives to drive growth and profitability within the RWE/RWD domain.
  • Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement business strategies, goals, and objectives.
  • Manage and optimize resources including budget, staffing, and technology infrastructure to support the company's growth and operational needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, key stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance and driving innovation.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Represent the company in industry events, conferences, and client engagements.
  • Report directly to the CEO and provide regular updates on the company's operational and strategic performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Real-World Data (RWD).
  • Demonstrated experience in operational management, including budgeting, resource allocation, and performance optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of RWE/RWD methodologies, data sources, and regulatory considerations.
  • Proven track record of driving growth and achieving operational excellence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities.
  • Experience in a consulting or advisory role within the healthcare industry is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
